In order to keep everything strait we routed out guides on the underside to sit strait on the legs

the ends definitively took a while to figure out because they are split Ill show you tomorrow how that works

 I found this old end vice at the local trader shop Trader Ricks its a junk shop paradise
It cost me $40.00 The old hardware is worth that alone.

One end is now cut to shape

I think its over a 100 years old ,very heavy ,made out of solid oak.
I cant wait to clean it up and make it part of the bench
